Grace Rafael
Poet and Creative Artist
I met Alexander Ruperti, in Paris, at the beginning of the eighties. With him, I studied a form of Western astrology which led me to become aware of my potentiality to become a writer.
Firstly, I have the Moon in the third house, which can indicate the existance of a reservoir of creativity, that could be applied to writing and poetry.
Secondly, in conjunction with the Moon, there is Jupiter indicating the possibility of financial gains from writing, publishing...communications.
More recently having found out about Vedic Astrology (a far more ancient form of astrology which tries to identify the journey of the soul) I decided to discover more about it. I obtained a Professional Vedic Natal Report. This, not only confirmed the previous information, but added to it. One of the points, the report states, is that:
" a person ...who is prepared to leave the safety of her home and able to tell stories
about her adventures... and turn these stories into epics."
In fact, even before I knew about this report, my writing was already drawing inspiration from life and from the wisdom gained all the way through it.
More strikingly, I usually try imparting a positive image, or outcome, in my writing and the same report (on another aspect of my Birth Chart) says that:-
" What she feels and knows, endeavours to cloth in a dress of vibrating colours,
to charm the children of the earth and to raise them to dreams and contemplations,
of a glory beyond all material thought and understanding."
This, really encouraged my reflection vis-a-vis the role of unconscious and conscious decisions throughout our lives, and, as a consequence, prompted me to write the poem Pure Theatre:
Breathing in and breathing out,
Making contact with the ground
Beneath your feet
Spine straight and gaizing at the world
Within and without you,
From the centre of your brain.
This is the best you can do, right now.
You are an actor playing God's dream,
Although you could say no.
